ANNOUSHKA BOUTIQUES
In 2018, I joined forces with celebrated jewellery designer Annoushka Ducas, MBE. We collaborated on the launch of the Annoushka Jewellery Beetle Collection, an exquisite array of pendants, rings and earrings glittering with semi-precious stones.
I was tasked with the visual design for the shop windows of the Annoushka Jewellery flagship boutiques in Cadogan Gardens and South Molton Street (see image above), London, the display cabinet at Claridges Hotel, and the new boutique at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong.
Working alongside the Annoushka Jewellery Creative team, the result was mesmerising. Giant neon edge-lit perspex beetles floating in the windows, paper beetles running wild up the black lacquered walls, and beetles pitter-pattering along the pavement leading to the boutiques. I used my signature layered paper technique for the bespoke paper sculptures. Then placed miniature paper beetles alongside the beetle jewels in the shop's cases.
